How to get to Cortona
By car:
- A1 highway, get off at the Valdichiana-Bettole toll-booth.
- Past the toll-booth follow signs for the toll-free speedway, direction Perugia.
- Cortona-San Lorenzo exit (second exit after the Cortona-Foiano exit)
- Drive on towards Cortona (you will see the town perched on a hill right in front of you) and through Camucia.
- As you get to Camucia do not climb directly to Cortona; instead get on the SS 71 road (that runs through Camucia) direction Arezzo, all the way to Sodo.
- Take a right turn and start climbing towards Cortona driving along the old road known as the “strada del cimitero” (the graveyard road, the Cortona graveyard sits at the top end of the road). Our Casale is located at the top of the road right below the ancient Etruscan walls.
